Our Client located in Ottawa is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist – This is a Onsite role. You must have experience working in a Corporate environment and you will be recruiting for Technology, Finance and other areas.

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their growing People & Culture team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent to support the company’s growth and success. You will collaborate with the hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and team dynamics.
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and insights into market trends.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring teams, offering guidance on best practices for attracting top talent.
  • Ensure a seamless and positive experience for all candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and hiring quality.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for various roles.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the interview process, ensuring alignment with company values and role requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced, tech environment.
  • Must have experience working in a Corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with various sourcing techniques and tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
