Our Client located in Markham Office is looking for a HR Business Partner, This is a Hybrid and a Permanent role.
As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) you will be a key contributor to achieving its people and culture based strategic and operational objectives. The role entails a blend of strategy with hands-on, tactical execution. In it, you will partner and work closely with leaders at all levels in the organization to support the success of their teams.
Reporting to the VP, Human Resources you will join a small, yet mighty team of HR professionals working collaboratively to achieve the greatest, positive impact it can have on employee experiences and the company reaching its growth goals.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the VP, HR to develop and execute on various people initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Be a cultural ambassador, supporting a positive work environment and increased appreciation of company values.
- Be a trusted partner to leaders, developing a deep understanding of their business priorities and serve as a source of expertise and support in achieving them.
- Collaborate with people leaders to improve work relations, build morale, and increase employee retention and engagement.
- Guide and advise people leaders – ranging in seniority – to deliver on talent development, performance management, recognition and engagement practices.
- Provide trusted counsel and support to people leaders faced with employee relations matters, helping them navigate and resolve the matters promptly, tactfully and effectively.
- Provide frontline support to leaders and employees with interpretation of HR policies, pay practices and benefit programs.
- Work with people leaders to successfully onboard and offboard employees.
- Facilitate the annual performance review and merit/bonus award processes.
- Create and deliver a wide range of education sessions for people leaders and teams.
- Oversee the management of leaves of absence and returns-to-work.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and industry regulations while maintaining accurate employee records and managing HR documentation.
Requirements:
- University graduate with a minimum of 7 years of human resources experience. You have held the role of HR Business Partner in a scaling product or service-based organization.
- Consultive approach and ability to take full accountability for leading clients through a diversity of human resources initiatives and situations is essential.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively influence and persuade clients to do the right thing for the company and its people.
- Projects a positive outlook and demonstrate an energetic disposition in their interactions.
- Has extensive expertise advising and supporting people leaders in the areas of performance management, employee relations, talent development and health & safety.
- A critical thinker driven by curiosity, asking intelligent questions to obtain information, identify root causes, and determine business solutions.
- Can lead a program or initiative from the planning stage through to implementation.
- Demonstrate ability to manage a high volume of work with competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proven track record of effectively multi-tasking and staying organized while meeting tight deadlines and handling urgent business needs.
- Has outstanding professional written, verbal, and presentation skills. You can work effectively across teams and at different leadership levels.
- Can effectively navigate conflict, manage sensitive situations, mediate, and facilitate discussions at the senior leadership level.
- Has an in-depth understanding of employment standards and applicable employment legislation across Canada.
- Applies solid judgment and ensures integrity, compliance, and confidentiality while handling highly sensitive information
- Are data-driven and able to draw deep insights from your analysis.
