Our Client located in Langley, British Columbia is currently seeking a Production Supervisor, This role is created because of Growth and is a Permanent role.

You must have experience working in a Union and a Manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will lead and manage all production-related activities for the Switchgear value stream through the Company’s Business System which enables continuous improvement throughout the value stream to meet their stakeholders’ expectations and enable growth in the business. You will lead Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Performance to exceed their stakeholders’ expectations and enable growth in the business. You will play a key role in achieving short- and long-term strategic planning objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the Value Stream and all aspects of manufacturing operations, safety, quality and delivery.
  • Lead the Value Stream management cadence (daily/weekly/monthly) that drives SQDC for the Site.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching and mentorship for the employees.
  • Identify and provide necessary training resources for new employees.
  • Lead and engage employees during kaizen events to drive continuous improvement and foster a progressive organization.
  • Use Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement tools to solve problems.
  • Maintain daily production statistics, including customer demand, past dues, and backlog.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a leader in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Exposure to ETO or CTO manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and bills of materials for distribution systems.
  • Ability to use Lean CI tools such as 5S, Std Work, SMED, 3P, VDM, and problem solving.

  • Communication skills in English: written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
